Where to buy a home charger for an electric car in Serbia

The device price is only part of the cost. Web shops sell the charger without installation, so you pay separately for the cable, protection and the electrician's work; with installers, installation is sometimes included. Prices are copied verbatim — where they exclude VAT or are in euros, the cell says so. Individual prices by model and seller are on the wallbox models and prices page (64 prices, 61 models).

What to check before buying

1. How many kW your car acceptsOn alternating current (AC), most cars accept between 7 and 11 kW — the specifications list it as the power of the on-board charger. A 22 kW charger will not charge faster than that.
2. Single-phase or three-phaseUp to 7,4 kW, a charger runs on a single phase (32 A); 11 kW needs a three-phase 3×16 A connection and 22 kW needs 3×32 A — more than the 17,25 kW (3×25 A) of approved power a household usually has.
3. Cable or socketFor models with a Type 2 socket, the cable is bought separately — some sellers say so in the description, some do not.
4. Protection against DC fault currentIf the charger has built-in DC fault current detection (6 mA), a type A RCD upstream of it is enough; if it does not, you need a more expensive type B RCD. Guide: safety and test certificate.
5. MeterWhen you charge from the building's shared electricity, a certified (MID) meter is the basis for fair per-flat billing — see the guide who pays for electricity.
6. VAT, warranty and serviceSome sellers publish prices excluding VAT — this is marked in the table. Ask who services the device under warranty in Serbia; brand representatives are on the distributors page.
