Household electricity prices in Serbia 2026

A kilowatt-hour for households costs from 4,15 to 38,26 RSD with all fees and taxes, depending on the zone and tariff. At night it is more than three times cheaper than during the day.

Prices are in RSD per kWh, with all fees, excise duty and VAT. The zone is based on the household’s total monthly consumption: green up to 350 kWh, blue from 351 to 1.200 kWh, red above 1.200 kWh.

Details: how the price is calculated

The renewable energy fee (0,801 RSD/kWh) and the energy efficiency fee (0,015 RSD/kWh) are added to the price in the EPS price list, followed by excise duty of 7,5 % and VAT of 20 %.

The zones are steps: the first 350 kWh are charged at the green price, up to 1.200 kWh at the blue price, and anything above that at the red price. From 01.10.2025 the blue zone limit was lowered from 1.600 to 1.200 kWh, with an average price increase of 6,6 %.

The low tariff applies every day, weekends included, but only with a dual-tariff meter. Set charging to start then, with a timer in the car or the charger. In the blue zone that is about 3.261 RSD a month less than during the day.

With a single-rate meter a kilowatt-hour costs the same day and night. At these prices a two-rate meter is cheaper as soon as more than about 17 % of the month’s electricity is used at night, for example when the car charges at night.

In its household price list EPS publishes the prices for two-rate metering. The single-rate prices come from a secondary source (see sources), recalculated with the same fees, excise duty and VAT as above. Ask Elektrodistribucija Srbije to replace the meter.

What the car changes on the bill

For 1.250 km a month, a car uses about 234 kWh from the meter (17 kWh per 100 km plus 10 % losses). At night that is 971 RSD in the green zone, 1.333 RSD in the blue zone and 2.420 RSD in the red zone.

Details: billed power and checking your bill

The bill also includes billed power: 60,8947 RSD per kW of approved (contracted) power per month, 78,55 RSD with fees and taxes. For 17,25 kW (3×25 A) that is about 1.355 RSD a month. A charger does not change this item unless the approved power is increased.
