Electric vehicle subsidy deadline extended to 1 December
Applications for 5.000 € towards a new electric car can be submitted until 1 December 2026 instead of 30 September.

The Government has amended the decree on the subsidised purchase of new electric vehicles. The amendment was published in the Official Gazette of RS No. 86/2026 on 9 September. The previous deadline was 30 September.
The amounts remain unchanged: 5.000 € for a passenger car or a light commercial vehicle up to 3,5 t, 500 € for a motorcycle or heavy tricycle, 250 € for a moped or light tricycle. The money is paid in dinars, in the order in which complete applications arrive, while funds last. Applications are submitted via the eUprava portal.
In early August, Minister of Environmental Protection Sara Pavkov said that more than 1.000 applications had been received, five times more than last year. By then, about 600 vehicles had been subsidised, for almost 3 million euros. The ministry said it would ask for more money in the budget.
What it means
A longer deadline does not mean the money will last until December. Anyone planning a purchase should apply as soon as they have a pro forma invoice and the vehicle documents. The eUprava service is for Serbian citizens.
