The best way to find out whether an electric car suits you is to drive one for a few days. Here is who rents them out in Serbia, at what price and on what charging terms — only what the companies make public, with the date.

On the websites of SIXT, Avis, Budget, Hertz, Europcar, Enterprise/Alamo, Green Motion and Carwiz there is no electric car for Serbia (checked 22.09.2026). Only smaller local companies offer them, mostly ones specialising in Tesla:

The Tesla Rent a Car website (teslarent.rs) was not available for checking, so we do not list its offer. We found no electric car for rent in Niš or at Niš airport.
Only one company (Gama Rent) publicly states the battery level at which the car is picked up and returned. Before signing, ask: what percentage the car must be returned with and how much it costs if it is below that; who pays for charging at Tesla Superchargers and at public chargers (and whether you get a card or an app account with the car); whether the car has a cable for a household socket or a Type 2 cable; whether you may take it outside Serbia. Car sharing with electric cars does not currently exist in Serbia, and we have not found any announced project either. The only active car-sharing service is Anygo in Belgrade and Novi Sad: Toyota Yaris Hybrid and Hyundai i10, start fee 100 RSD, driving 24 RSD per minute, fuel included (price list changed 28.07.2025); according to Bloomberg Adria it had about 8.700 registered users (04.07.2025). The earlier Car4Use (Belgrade, 2015) closed its car sharing and now works as a rent-a-car company.
Nobody publishes the number of electric taxis in Serbia. CarGo states on its website that its goal is to “expand the fleet with hybrid and fully electric cars”; the number of electric vehicles has not been published. Bolt does not operate in Serbia (list of cities on bolt.eu). In February 2026 City Taxi Novi Sad introduced the Changan Deepal S07 (drive type and number of vehicles not stated), and in April said that 90 % of its fleet are hybrids with LPG systems.
There is no special subsidy for electric taxis in 2026. The general subsidy of 5.000 € for a new electric car also applies to sole traders and legal entities (Decree, Official Gazette 12/2026 and 86/2026) — see subsidies 2026. The earlier state programme for taxis (2020–2022, 8.000 € per new vehicle) was not only for electric vehicles: it also covered hybrids, gas-fuelled vehicles and Euro 6 engines.
We did not find a monthly subscription to an electric car with a public price for private individuals in Serbia. Public monthly prices exist only as long-term rental from the rent-a-car companies in the table (KiBOST from 30 €/day for a Model 3 on a 30-day rental, Gama Rent 140.000 RSD a month). Operating leases for private individuals are offered, for example, by Škoda Alpros (up to 48 months) and Porsche Leasing (“vehicle rental”), but they do not publish prices for electric models. A loan example from 2025: for the ATTO 2, BYD and Banca Intesa quoted a monthly instalment of 252,72 € over 84 months with a down payment of 7.647 €, which includes the subsidy (Telegraf, 11.04.2025) — check with the seller whether the offer is still valid in 2026.
