Renting an electric car

In Serbia, electric cars are rented out only by smaller local companies in Belgrade and Novi Sad, most often Teslas.

There is no offer in Niš or at Niš airport.

Charging: what to ask

Only Gama Rent publishes a charging rule: the car is picked up with at least 80 % battery and returned in the same state. Electric Blue provides cables and instructions with the car.

Before renting, ask how much battery is needed on return, who pays for the Supercharger and public chargers, whether there is a cable for a household socket or Type 2 and whether you may drive outside Serbia. Car sharing and taxis

The only active car-sharing service, Anygo (Belgrade, Novi Sad), has the Toyota Yaris Hybrid and Hyundai i10: 100 RSD to start, 24 RSD per minute, fuel included.

Nobody publishes the number of electric taxis. Bolt does not operate in Serbia. There is no special subsidy for electric taxis in 2026, but the general 5.000 € subsidy also applies to sole traders and companies — subsidies 2026.

Since February 2026, City Taxi Novi Sad has had the Changan Deepal S07 (drive type and number not stated); in April, 90 % of the fleet were LPG hybrids. The 2020–2022 taxi programme (8.000 € per new vehicle) also covered hybrids, LPG and Euro 6.

Long-term rental and leasing

There is no public “car subscription” offer for individuals; monthly prices exist only for long-term rental. Operating leases are offered by Škoda Alpros (up to 48 months) and Porsche Leasing, with no public prices for electric models. Interest rates: loans and leasing.
