How an electric car is financed in Serbia: which banks publicly offer a better interest rate for “green” vehicles, how large the down payment is and how the subsidy fits into a loan or leasing. Only publicly available terms, with a date.
Translated from Serbian. Prices, quotes from company websites and data are given in English for convenience; where the exact wording matters, the Serbian original applies.
The 5.000 € state subsidy for a new electric car can be part of the price or the down payment in financial leasing (the Decree, Article 5). At Raiffeisen banka the subsidy is not shown as part of the price in a loan; instead, after official approval, it reduces the down payment. Conditions and the application deadline: subsidies 2026.

An overview of nine banks' terms (madeinchina.rs, checked 12.08.2026) gives interest rates ranging from 6,95 to 8,45 % in dinars and from about 5 to 7,65 % in euros; for euro loans the down payment is as a rule at least 30 %, while dinar loans often require none.
Porsche Leasing (VW, Audi, SEAT, Cupra — the ID.5 and ID. Buzz are also on offer) and Intesa Leasing do not publish special programmes or rates for electric cars. The down payment for private individuals in leasing is roughly 20 % (madeinchina.rs). We have not checked S-Leasing, Raiffeisen Leasing and UniCredit Leasing. We found no basis in the text of the Decree for claims that leasing with the subsidy requires a down payment of at least 15 %.
This is not financial advice — terms change, and the final offer comes from the bank. The text was prepared with the help of AI tools; the BlokVolt editors checked the rates and terms on the banks' websites. Report an error or a change on the corrections page.
