Where the data comes from and how fresh it is

Sources

1. Open databases. Locations come from OpenStreetMap (ODbL licence) and Open Charge Map (CC BY 4.0). A place found in both databases is shown once.
2. Networks' lists. Every charger was checked against the lists published by Charge&GO (and its roaming map with Orion eMobility chargers), Tesla and JP “Putevi Srbije”. Chargers from those lists that were missing from the databases were added to the map.
3. Google Maps, for checking only. A charger with a driver rating from the past year counts as confirmed. No text, ratings or photos are taken from Google Maps.
4. Manually checked data for some chargers: the exact point, the address with the house number, opening hours, access and who charges for free. Each item has a source, and information from drivers is marked “according to drivers” with the year. A few chargers were confirmed on the location owner's website.
5. Prices come from the networks' apps, recorded with a dated screenshot, and from receipts for paid charging sessions.
6. Drivers' reports: the status, ratings and photos that drivers send from the charger card.

The status of the state-owned chargers on motorways follows the JP “Putevi Srbije” list.

How fresh they are

Every piece of data has a date, so you can see how fresh it is on the map itself:

• locations: the date of the open databases snapshot is at the bottom of the map, next to the sources;
• checks against the networks' lists: the date is on the card, next to “Confirmed” or “Checked”;
• prices: the date is next to each price on the card, and a price older than a year gets a warning;
• state-owned chargers: the date of the JP “Putevi Srbije” list is next to “Charger status”;
• drivers' reports: they appear right after they are sent, with the time of the report.

Public charging prices are checked once a month.

Where to see the source on the card

At the bottom of the card is the line “Data:” with links to that charger's sources. The “Exact location” section says where the point comes from: a network's list, OpenStreetMap or Open Charge Map. A point from Open Charge Map may be off by a few dozen metres, and some points show only the car park or building.

When no price was recorded at that exact charger, the card shows the same network's price for the same power and says so next to the price.

Open data

The list of chargers is an open dataset: punjaci.json, under the ODbL licence. Locations and connectors from the networks' lists are in a separate file and are not part of the open dataset.

The site's tables, for example companies and public charging prices, are on the Data downloads page, under the CC BY 4.0 licence.

Report wrong data or a missing charger through the corrections form.
