What a quote must include
- The device: a European-certified 11 kW smart wallbox, Type 2, preferably with the OCPP protocol.
- A dedicated circuit from your meter to the charger, not an improvisation from an existing socket.
- Type A + DC RCD protection.
- A MID-certified meter.
- Installation and a test certificate from an authorised contractor.
- A technical description of the installation for the residents' assembly or the garage owner, and often a template for the decision or the consent.
A quote without a test certificate, RCD protection or a meter is not cheaper, just incomplete. You pay the difference later: at the residents' assembly, with the insurer or at the first fault. Before signing, compare companies' public prices.

- Type 2 is the standard for every electric car and plug-in hybrid in Europe. OCPP means you are not tied to one manufacturer's software.

11 kW, three-phase or single-phase
More powerful AC charging at home rarely makes sense: it requires a stronger connection, and many cars do not even support it on the AC side.
An 11 kW wallbox requires a three-phase installation, and whether you have one becomes clear during the assessment. Without a three-phase connection, a reinforced socket works on an ordinary single-phase installation: 2,3–3,7 kW gives 100–180 km of range overnight. That is enough for a week of city driving, and the wallbox can come later.
